X-RIDE 2 and the Making Of are now available at http://renderfred.free.fr.

Feel free to download them. Warning : the 1280x720 HD Video versions are quite big if you don't have broadband. There are also XviD versions in standard definition (720x400) if your computer can't read or is too slow reading WMV-HD format. The XviDs should be playing in full screen too, and with a reasonable quality, though obviously you want to see the HD versions if you want the highest definition.

The mini-film is about 5 mns long, and the Making Of 9 mns. The Making Of is not a precise how-to but gives general information about the different sequences, software and hardware used, and shows some images and sequences not included in the main animation (like Pre-Viz, screenshots, etc.). It also shows the differences between X-RIDE 2 and X-RIDE 1 (which was really a sort of elaborate Pre-Viz).

There is also a rather long technical readme.txt file on the site that you may find of interest if you want to read more details about problems encountered, solutions found, and general remarks about this project.
