Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Bodystudio for what platform? 3dsmax, Maya, or Cinema4D? I had the one for 3dsmax, and it worked as advertised for importing Poser .pz3 scene files into Max. It brings over animated/dynamic scenes too, but you can't change the animation once it's in the host application. You have to make changes in Poser, and then reload the scene again. One major drawback is that the plugin tends to make 3dsmax unstable in some cases (especially if you're using other plugins at the same time), and if you save the .max file with the .pz3 plugin intact, it can screw up all the materials on your figures when you go to reopen it (because each figure has the same basic material name). It will not convert some of the P5/P6 procedural textures, of course, but it does carry over transparency maps and everything else just fine. I don't know if the same issues relating to stability are also apparent in the versions for other platforms, but that's been my experience with it.
