Subject: Corruption of Poser content files

I encountered the following problem with random content files: The file cannot be read by Poser 6SR2, Poser Artist nor Daz Studio 1x. The Rsr and Png thumbnails are all in good order, and I was able identified the problem as the content files themselves. In my case, the affected files were commercial PZ2 and PP2 files which I had no problem using in the past. A re-install of the affected content resulted in a return to normalcy. The problem was evident when I opened the culprit files in a text editor. For some odd and inexplicable reason, a right-facing arrow had been inserted immediately before the opening curly bracket of each content file. It is as if there were a rougue algorithm doing a random selection of text files, opening them, inserting the right-facing arrow (at a very specific location in the opened text file), and saving the files. I have working anti-viral / anti-vandal software (frequently updated) and am using XPSR2 with .NET framework installed. New computer (couple months old). I have also posted this at the runtimeDNA Poser forum and mentioned it separately at the DAZ Support Forum (I had thought it was initially an incompatibility of content with my SR2 upgrade).
