A 1Million polys figure with 400 body parts ( to hide bad joints and to avoid using the Smooth Polygons option ) which needs 1 terabyte of RAM to load the morphs ??? :)

Oh no. There's that word again... "Revolutionary". Why are so many things in 3D called that, yet none of them truly are what the word indicates. In Poser language, this word often translates to: "more polygons". ;-)

Superman? Superwoman? Superboy? Supergirl? All of them in one figure? Now where did you see this? I can't seem to find it anywhere on content paradise..... Not that I need another figure, but perhaps it's the long wanted real low poly character that can be used in a game!

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Che Victoria?! :-) So she can be used for renders that are to be shared freely with your friends at communes like Renderosity, but if you try to use her for a commercial/capitalist purpose, she overthrows your CPU and crashes your system?

I can hardly wait to do my first render! I'll just need the following from the marketplace:

1 - Ultimate Morphing Beret for Che Victoria
1 - Chain-mail Red Star Bikini
1 - Sword of the People's Justice
1 - "Temple of the Robber Barons" Ruins set (from the "Fall Of Capitalism" series)

A new 'revolutionary' figure, eh?

I'll wait and see. As in most other matters, it's not a good idea to prejudge whether or not the new item matches the claims until such time as you've actually seen the thing.

And gotten a chance to fool around with it for a while.

At that point, then we can all decide for ourselves whether it's 'revolutionary' -- or indifferent -- or revolting.

However, wanting to be an optimist -- I'll assume that it's going to be something good. I'm happy with most of what e-frontier has done for the market.

Ya know, this explains President Bush's trip to Japan! And you get a 'working' Michael Brown figure that renders next week... 8D

Nahhh. Don't ever let anyone say that having plastic surgery performed on nearly every part of her body makes her digital. Just morphed.

Most likely it will be yet another character like Miki and Appolo Maximus that cost a bundle just for the base figure and than you have to buy textures, clothes, hair fits, poses and on and on until your charge card companie cancels your card, LOL!

Byrdie ( ) posted Thu, 17 November 2005 at 3:21 PM

Nah, not the Millenium Orb, Daz-PoserPros already did that. The Ultimate Sphere, remember? LOL!

My guess is a poser version of Fei Fei...

Tashar59 ( ) posted Thu, 17 November 2005 at 4:22 PM

"My guess is a poser version of Fei Fei..." That would be nice but what would be revolutionary about that. You would think that by the talk, it would be a better rigging system. That would be revolutionary for a poser figure.

maxxxmodelz ( ) posted Thu, 17 November 2005 at 4:27 PM

"by the talk"? what talk. we are the only ones "talking" all ef said is that they are making a figure "that will set a new standard for Poser characters and content quality". hopefully this will be a new higher standard. the figure could be revolutionary or it could be revolting. :p

"by the talk"? what talk. we are the only ones "talking" As in say that the figure will be revolutionary and set a new standard for characters and content. We shall see. Untill then only try to have fun guessing and not take any of this serious till the figure really is released.

jeffg3 ( ) posted Thu, 17 November 2005 at 5:10 PM

It's clearly going to be a figure of a wallet (W3) with several morphs for removing money.

But here the revolutionary part - the wallet is dynamically linked to your online credit card account, so that when you remove the money, E Frontier actually removes money from your account!!!

"Most likely it will be yet another character like Miki and Appolo Maximus that cost a bundle just for the base figure and than you have to buy textures, clothes, hair fits, poses.."<< Actually APollo is currently $49.95 and comes with etxtures, morphs, SkinSUits, hair/beard, and poses. Does a middle finger emoticon violate TOS?? lol
