One of my "many talents" is leatherwork. I make rattles and drums, and do traditional leather carving. Here is a pic of my latest rattle. I took two pictures and composited them with Painter6. I need to set up "studio lights" so I don't get the reflections.

very nice craftmanship indeed....can you explain to us what they are for, and how they are used? Thank you :-)

Thanks for the comments. The rattle is sometimes used as a musical instrument, and can also be used to help focus for meditation or a shamanic journey. This rattle is made from Elk rawhide for the head, a windfall branch for the handle, and decorated with bear fur, buckskin, and glass beads.
