I don't get a commission... Just letting anyone interested know about a nice deal on 10 beautiful classic cars which might "hotten up" your scenes... There's a FREE jeep on the website you can download to check out the car details...

Actually now, I'm not so sure... I tried to buy the classic Model T Ford but kept being directed to the Jaguar model. I think I'll call them Monday... But the Jeep is still there for FREE...

Thanks for the tip--just wish that the Willys MB were the freebie.I've forgotten who was converting 3D vehicles to CR2's a few months ago, but I wish they could be persuaded to do some military vehicles. Those 3DS vehicles on the Dutch (?) site are good models, but the material list is a nightmare.

In case you missed the thread earlier this week, there is a really nice FREE model of a WW-II German Panther tank at the Mesh Factory- It's available in 3DS, MAX and Lightwave... Be sure to catch the new "Enemy At The Gate" movie coming out- Spectacular WW-II special 3D effects, plus a great story line...

I did a lot of the veihicle cut ups before. Does anyone know the ULR of the site with the military jeep. Yes the material list was a nightmare. Also, one reason I gave up on cutting up vehicles was cause they are not my mesh and felt guilty that I might be stealing and redistributing meshes. I had talked with meshfactory and others about getting permission to cut up their meshes. They said no so I proposed using objaction mover and explained that the user would still need the original free model as the key to use the file. They agreed to this BUT mover cannot be used for commercial products. would people have an objection to having to get the original free model to use as a key to cut up the new model? Another route would be to cut up the model in Poser. sadly that's like copying the mesh.

Ok I cut up this jeep. Attached is a pic of the jeep figure. I made the wheels turn with a body control and cut the hood so it opens. The problem I have is the mesh is huge plus I have no place to store it for redist. The readme says the model can be redist just as long as the readme is included so that's no big whoop. If I can find someone who wants to host this (and any of the other models I have) I'll gladly share it.

We can all use posable vehicles like this great Jeep model. I hope someone gives you some space for it. The military Jeep is located now at the 3DCafe site under Military stuff. It is about 1/3 down, in the center. Near it is a really cool Halftrack with Anti-Aircraft guns, also by the same modeler, who lives in the Netherlands...

Mason--Sorry I forgot who did the vehicles a while ago--Loved the van you did. We did post some thoughts about those military vehicles, but the mesh size was huge (all the tire details are separate groups, remember?). If the meshes could be simplified they would be great to have. The 6X6 and the cannon are nice models, too. BTW, the Panzer models at the MeshFactory and at Cacheforce are the same model. hmm....

See, this is were it gets sticky. The guy who did the WWII models did a great job. I don't think its fair for me to go in and say replace the tires off the wrangler jeep model. Maybe I can contact this guy. Until then I'm not going to reduce the jeep to a simpler model unless I can get permission. Same with the other WWII vehicles. Regrouping is borderline but going in and changing the thing around isn't right.

Yes Mikes, the Mesh Factory appears to have incorporated the "Tank Club" models into the Mesh Factory collection...
