Well, Jokerman is a commercial font and I guess you were looking at the Linotype site - and you can't get much more official than that! Other sites shouldn't be offering this one for free, and the few I checked simply linked to Linotype or fonts.com.
If you buy it, of course you can use it, but it may not do you much good using it on a web page as text unless everyone viewing the site has it installed (unlikely). You can create images with it and use those on your pages because no-one can extract the font from an image. The license specifies that you cannot embed the font into a document, which is not the same as using it in a document, and that you can't make it available on a server over the internet, which you aren't doing if you use the font on web page.

Thats what I meant - I'm making all the components in Photoshop and slicing them.
Do you know if a program comes with Jokerman (Adobe progs, Word 2003, etc.) or how I could find out, because honestly I can't remember if I downloaded this one in particular or if it came with an app - its just on my hard drive and I can't remember how... :)
Thanks

Well, I've done some searching, and apparently Jokerman comes with Office 2003 - that problem's solved. Now the issue becomes whether or not I have a licence to use the fomt just because I bought a program it was bundled with... Anybody know??
thanks

I have Jokerman, and I'm positive I never went out and bought it. Glad to hear you found out where it came from! Yes, if the font is bundled with licensed software, then you can use it. The software company (in this case, Microsoft) licensed it specifically to be redistributed and used. It would be ridiculous of them to include the font and NOT expect people to use it, or to expect them to go and re-license it. bonni

I'm in the process of building a webpage and want to use a certain font, specifically "Jokerman". Now, I downloaded Jokerman from a site that seemed quite reputable (meaning not some pirate site). When I googles the font, I came up to an official site that said it sold "Jokerman" for $22.00, and that there was a licence. Am I allowed to use this font in my page, or am I not. I checked several free font pages and they all ahd it to download, but that one site was selling it (and I'm pretty sure it was an official site, not some dude trying to get rich). Google it, and see what I mean. Thanks -Zak
