You'll need a plugin to play VRML. At work we use the Cortona player. The Cortona player comes with controls to move around the scene. VRML is designed for interaction (think triggers, positional sound). I'm definitely not an expert, but it shouldn't be too difficult to add interaction to the VRML files.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
Have a look at we do with wirefusion.. http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/wirefusiongallery.asp No plugins required just a java enabled browser. Commerical 'displays' need a full licence, if not you can use the freebie versions found on Computer Arts/3d world cover discs.
Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

Help! I've been trying to use basic embedding code to put a VRML file that I exported from 3DS Max 6 into a webpage... But it doesnt seem to be working. I am using 'Internet Explorer 6.0', do I need to download any plug-ins that I dont have in IE6.0 as default? How easy is it to add interaction into VRML files? I want to be able to implement controls to give movement, or at least camera rotation within my scene. Anyone know any sources of info/books that would be of any help? Do you think it would be easier to use Shockwave? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! :-)
