Why isn't there a stepwedge on renderosity? It would be nice to see one at the top/bottom of each page.

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

what does it do ? monitor calibration tool ?

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

yes.. see the link karen posted.. you'll find an image posted looks different on different monitors.. not the way you had originally intended it to look.. especially if it's a darker image to begin with

the first first 5 sectors on the left are solid black on my monitor (mac standard gamma), and I can just barely see that the 6th is lighter. if I switch to PC gamma, I can see that the 5th sector is lighter, but the 4 sectors to the left are solid black.

Hi nancy looks like you need to calibrate you're monitor. On a mac go to system preferences, displays, calibrate. On a p.c. just switch to a mac :o).

yes, rad, recalibrated to pc gamma. it's a crappy old monitor, though, so I'll check it out on another one later. thanks for the stepwedge, by the way. I usually fix dark pc images in photoshop, using autolevels, but this stepwedge was unaffected by autolevels. had to jack up brightness 75% in photoshop to see all the steps.
