Subject: Poetry to Art?Is there such a challenge?

I am relatively new here and as the name suggests I am a self professed poet.At times I wonder what the words would look like through others eyes in the way of art.ie:Poser or Bryce and the like.Is it possible to start something such as this or is there a forum where writers can challenge artists or vice-versa?This may not be the correct place for such a question but it is the only writers area that I can locate so far.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,Thank You.

Well, the Challenge Arena comes to mind. I believe it exists so that members can propose chanllenges to each other. "This forum is dedicated to learning, creating and pushing yourself to meet the challenges that have been posted either by other members of Renderosity." Sounds like a general invite to me, so I'd say go for it. Might want to cross post here too. Might get some takers. jon

You might like to know that the monthly Challenge Forum challenge is open to everyone...writers, artists, photographers, etc. This month the theme is light...and not a competitive word posted yet!

Thank you for the input and links I will try and find something not too severe to post a challenge on.

I wouldn't say it's a challenge unless the challenge was yourself.

Poetry is Written

Poetry to me is the given spirit of choice of words you gracefully search for
And find a place for them
Poetry is here for us to feel every emotion
Words written from on top our minds
Those so deeply hidden away can burst out
We cry, we sign, and we feel glee and fear
Some make us angry
Some bring us closer to God
Poems are paths into short or long distances
Into vague mirrors of our own self
There may be a journey or a trek we learn from it
Or a dream we dreamt one time ago
Poetry is the still of life
That we can see through reading
In visioning the beauty that surrounds us
Poetry releases the pain in our heart
Is self healing in writing
Poetry sings its song it is an expression
Emotions running wild
Set free on paper to heal the ill
From the finger tips it is written
From the heart, the joy, the cry,
The vain and wisdom
Poetry is written
~

Hello. Welcome. I have a gazillion ideas of artworks to make. I cannot draw a 'stick man' so I attempt to 'write'. Oh, the humanity. WINK. If you're suggesting that an 'artist' put an image to someone's thoughts, I most heartily think that would be an excellent idea. A collaboration. TallPockets.
