Subject: how to leave daz' pc?

Aeneas ( ) posted Thu, 15 December 2005 at 4:50 PM · edited Thu, 24 October 2024 at 6:18 PM

Can anyone tell me how I can stop the monthly membership of Daz' Platinum Club? It looked good at first, and there were promises of lots of things to come, but I find nothing anymore I'd like to add to my runtime folders. (personal opinion) I've been looking for an option somewhere on the site, I've been trying to delete the data of my creditcard. Nothing seems to work. I searched the faq, but no mentioning how to get out. I mailed them and hope for an answer, but really: it can't be that difficult, can it? There has to be some option somewhere. I could ask on the daz' forums, but last time I did (I asked for an uv template for kyouran) some vendor nearly bit my nose off...

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

Why not just mail DAZ? They have contact info all over the site.

" Why not just mail DAZ? They have contact info all over the site." erm - "I mailed them and hope for an answer," covers that I think...

I've always received answers from them. Not the same day but within a week.

As far as I know, the only way to "unjoin" the Platinum Club at DAZ is to contact sales in one way or another. You'll either have to email them or call their toll free (in the US and Canada) number, which is on their contact page. Sales doesn't even read DAZ message boards, so they're very much not likely to read ours.

MS
edit Actually, go into your "Available Downloads" section, and you should see the Platinum Club there (sans link, of course), and beneath it should read this: "[The above item will auto-renew if you choose to enter a valid payment method and current billing address as explained at the bottom of your account page. To remove this option for auto-renewal from your account, click here.]" Click the link, and it should work. If it doesn't, email or call sales.

On the "Available Downloads" page, there is a link directly under the "Platinum Club Membership" item, that stops Auto-renewal.

It's ok: we got an e-mail from Daz confirming that our subscription to the pc was cancelled. And, indeed, it looks like there is indeed an option on the site. If you can find it, that is. Most sites offer an easier way to unsubscribe. But that may be a question of personal interpretation. Thanks for having taken the time to answer.

If you bought alot of stuff at Daz before you joined the PC, then you got a case of tough luck. Fortunately for me, I had only bought Michael 2 and M2 Character Pack 1 before I became a PC member.
