Downloaded the demo... it seems to work find... just a couple of questions.. 1) when importing poser figures (CR2).. is there a thumbnail option?? so you can see what you are importing.. 2) when looking for HDRI as background... same is there a thumbnail preview? it's hard to figure out wich HDRI you want to load. thanks

Hello alamanos, 1) No, like preview files for any software, a thumbnail is simply read as it was written into the file. Poser does not write thumbnails - or at least I'm unaware of an option to do so. 2) No, :-( But it is on the wish list. Mark

  1. poser does create thumbnails for cr2... example would vicky.cr2 would have a vicky.png ... wich is a standard image file... should not be very difficult to read and display them as a library thumnails.. 2) too bad.. that would be nice! thanks for your help mark Nick

Hi Nick, Yes there is the .png file - but it is a separate file and not embedded with the actual .cr2 file. Poser code is instructed to look for .png files that are separate from the source file - a little non-standard compared to other gaphics packages. Carrara does it the standard way by looking for the image from within the file. But, it WOULD be great to have. :-P We'll have to see if that capability might make it into Carrara at some point.

Not sure if this will be helpful to you but this is a progrm that I use to view HDR files. It's called HDRView. http://www.debevec.org/FiatLux/hdrview/

No need to think outside the box....
