I'm assuming this has something to do with today's newsletter, but I have no clue what. Sounds like a troll.

dlfurman ain't a troll. Got the general idea that it's about the newsletter; I'm smart like that. :) Just dunno what he/she/it means, though.

I seem to remember hearing something about earlier versions of those two meshes. Do content providers support the older versions? Are there any clothes for them?

See, I knew they were obscure. Vic ... vic something. Vickles? Whatever. Something about version four and a horizon or something. I've seen numbers 2 and 3 clothed only by temple and sword. Same goes for the other one, The K.I.D., or whatever the heck her cutesy-tutesyness is called. Those ladies ... you may have heard of them. Save your pennies like the non-troll said. :-)

No trolling here....

I don't usually post what is in the newsletters (just ask the folks in the TrueSpace Group, esp. with those newsletters any links there are NOT posted at the main site and I jump no content producers gun....)

I wonder how many folks actually read thread headers though ;)

The "Prepare for the New Year" DAZ Weekly newsletter BTW...

Victoria 4 After all I have invested in clothes and textures for V3 I'm just supposed to chuck them all and run for V4??? Thanks, but no thanks.

mathman ( ) posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 9:26 PM

What in the poo is everyone talking about. What V4 ? .... I followed the link posted by martian_manhunter in post #5, and it takes me to a coupon thread in the DAZ Commons forum. It's about using a coupon for the temporary "2005 Thank You" category. No "Vic4" or anything like that, just a couple of Aiko items ..... so what is going on ?

KyReb ( ) posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 9:32 PM

From the DAZ newsletter: With Victoria 4.0, the Girl 2.0, and some very fun plugins for DAZ|Studio, there are some very exciting releases on the horizon.

elizabyte ( ) posted Thu, 29 December 2005 at 9:51 PM

The GIRL 2.0? What happened to the GUY or whatever he was supposed to be called? siiiigh I am getting so SICK of the constant barrage of females in the Poser tooniverse... bonni

And e-frontier are planning a new female for this winter as well. If you take a look at their Japanese site, there are a number of female models available for Shade are they are possibly going to produce English versions - perhaps also for Poser. I can't help thinking that it was a mistake to shelve the female couterpart to Apollo, if there's going to be a new female showdown, Anton could have made a killing. Easy to say in hindsight though. Apollo could still harm a Michael 4. As for the Girl 2, I don't use the original enough to justify all that I spent on it and don't really see where it can be significantly improved anyway.

Casette ( ) posted Fri, 30 December 2005 at 2:18 AM

They said probably would release Fei Fei for Poser (actually only for Shade) Vicky and Mike 4? I hope they will have better shoulders Venus Maximus? I don't puchased Apollo, but a woman... mmmh... yum The Girl2????? Why??? (answer: bucks)

Thanks for the pointer to the offer. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for new figures.

artbyphil ( ) posted Fri, 30 December 2005 at 4:38 AM

I just hope the Version 4 figures are compatable with Verson 3 stuff (well I can dream and live in hope!)

"With Victoria 4.0, the Girl 2.0, and some very fun plugins for DAZ|Studio, there are some very exciting releases on the horizon." In other words.... nothing worth saving for at all, lot's of money left over to spent on really useable content.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Ok Vicky4, now I wonder when Daz will release Mike 4. As if I don't have enough stuff for Poser now. My current poser library (kept in a seperate runtime from Poser's default runtime)is like 16 gigabytes in size.
