William
I'm only using the BABY in the scene to test it out. I think I'm applying it wrong. Could you give me a short TUT on how to apply it? Thanks. I don't think im doing it right if its working for you.

assuming scene bereft of posable figures Load Figure, in this case Baby Proceed to Props Folder Click on First_Figure_PoseMagic Proceed to Pose Folder Click on First_Figure_PoseMagic From PullDown Menu proceed to the actual loaded Prop, PoseMagic Note Parameters Spin to win That should do it, that's all there is to it. Baby is pre-loaded with expression morphs, so no problems there unless you've modded your baby to be morph-free. Oh, hmmm...have you got poser set to "Use External Binary Morph Targets" ? Perhaps that's the culprit. Make sure when you walk through this all again, your scene is "clean" of all PoseMagic references. If you've been working long, hard, marathon super poser day you might want to shut Poser down and re-start it. If it's still not working I would be at a loss -WTB

William Thanks for the TUT. I will try that. I don't think I have it set for "Use External Binary Morph Targets". I also made a model out of MIL 3 Baby so it's pre loaded, so I'll start off with a fresh copy. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks. Adrian

""Okay, I don't have PPP but on P6 everything works. Everything is basically coded the same, so no reason that some things would work and others not on PPP. Couple of possible solutions leap to mind: How's your memory? Did you delete any pre-existing posemagic props from your scene?"" If everything is cool and you're still having problems, please tell me what figure you're using etc. Thanks WTB, PPP is not too cool. Here is a breakdown of what I've encountered. System: P4 3gig with 2gig RAM 82Gig HD free Freash session of PPP started Figure used, M3 fully injected, with genital (fig2) conformed Selcted M3 body and applied the 1st PM prop Applied the Genital Support pose to the prop Tried all of the peins dials and the do not respond. Now, if I apply the GSP pose directly to the genital fig it will funtion with the PM prop. Pose testing Now one thing I remeber from way back with P4/PPP there is a focus problem when changing dials. The old Expression Magic for posette and V2 mentioned having to reselect the head dial menu to reinitilize. So in order to get PM to switch: Have PM selected, click Hide All Elements, reselect the PM prop and the dilas are removed, excluding origin x,y and z Using the aforementioned sequence I applied the Show both Arms pose. The dials came up. I am not testing the functinality of the pose at this time, just dial avalalbility. This appears to be the sequence needed for all of the poses. Pose function testing; Applied Arms only. At first it didn't work but went back an reapplied the main pose now it does. Arm furl: Not symetrical, left arm. Looks like the forearm is not responding. ShldrSmall: I don't see any response. BothShldrFrontBack: Non responsive BothShldrTwist: Non responsive BothForeArmUpDown: Right forearm Non responsive BothForeArmTwist:Non responsive I'll be looking at the othe groups as I have time.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 10:04 AM

Nicked, you have to apply the M3GenitalSupport Pose to make it work, that's the nature of it. M3 Genitals don't know that they are supposed to respond to PoseMagic until you tell them to, which is what the pose does. As for the rest of it, it sounds like PPP is a real nightmare :S I am curious if anyone else with PPP is having the same sort of issues. It is bewildering that some of the old dials are no longer functioning for you, since they haven't changed at all. The only thing I can think of is that we've hit some sort of memory issue specific to PPP and how it works with memory or if it has some sort of Memory leak.

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 10:35 AM

About the genital pose: As I stated when I first applied the support pose to the prop it was non responsive. The only way I got it to work was apply to the Body of the genital figure. I startewd to look at the feet group and am encountering non resposive dials right off the bat. Interesting tom say the least.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 10:59 AM

A little follow up. I tried PM under P6 and so far have not encountered the problems seen under PPP. Linked my PPP runtimetime to P6 so the installation hasn't changed. This is strange.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 10:59 AM

I mean to say you must apply the genital support pose to the genitals, just as you must apply the PoseMagic pose to the figure it applies to. Genitals are a seperate figure. When you apply the PoseMagic pose, if you happen to be on the Prop it's okay because the prop is attached to the figure, but that's not the case with the Genitals which is why it has to be a seperate pose. -WTB

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 11:22 AM

Ah so. Got it:) I do wish another PPP user would pop in and verify what I've seen

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 11:30 AM

The only thing I can figure is that PPP craps out on too many deltaAddDeltas in a scene, and somehow Update 2 crossed the line

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 1:12 PM

Since version2 was working fine in PPP outside of adding the new actorBody and the PBM channels what is is different? I know there is the new JCM and IK info but I don't have enough knowledge to give any insight as to how it should function. Without you having PPP readily available I don't want you taking only my word about anything thing I might uncover. I will try to keep you abreast of anything I do to make it function properly.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 1:17 PM

Here's what's new from the readme: More Split Controls. IK Only controls Aiko-Hiro expressions Better Millenial Expression compatibility between existing figures, including Laura, David, Stephanie, Mike3, Freaks etc. P4 PP organization tools for those who live without Group Trees. All Phoenomes. Added glute and bicep flex and raise parameters for ultimate realism when posing. Completely cleaned files for the deep-editor types who may want to customize their own rig or just see how it all works. JCM adjustment parameters: when clothes and people just don't communicate well together, or for extra effect when posing. M3 Genital Support. Not much to it, really but it's there. Custom Expression parameters. Empty until user defined.

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 1:38 PM

Thanks for the reminder, I did read all of that when I first installed but I was trying to locate the new stuff and see why it didn't want to play nice between PPP and P6. As far as the deltaAddDeltas line where are they located because when I search they don't show. More ideas to try..

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 1:56 PM

they are in the pose file

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 3:17 PM

WTB, You mentioned at one time that as long as the names were the same a function should work, right? If that's true, TummyOut doesn't match M3's BellyOut. I can't get that one to function.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 3:22 PM

Okay, good catch, that is definately one I missed. -WTB

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 3:48 PM

Another question on spelling; Is Forearm the same as ForeArm? This what I see under actor rCollar, channels; targetGeom JCMrForearmBend { valueOpDeltaAdd Figure 1 PoseMagic:1 JCMrForearmBend deltaAddDelta 1 } The rest are a combination of upper and lowerer case.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

nickedshield ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 7:11 PM

I answered my own question. The forearm spelling did make a difference. Changed them to ForeArm and now the errors I was getting, see post 105, are now working.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Photopium ( ) posted Mon, 09 January 2006 at 10:11 PM

drat, thought I was on top of all of that. Looks like an update 3 is going to happen for sure. Very small update, thankfully, but nonetheless

Circumvent ( ) posted Tue, 10 January 2006 at 11:59 AM

William I hate to bother you but I'm at a lost. I still can't get the full expressions to work on any of my DAZ characters. Whats intersting is that some of the dials work and others don't. I don't get it. Poser 6 was set to accept exrternal morphs so that seems to be in order. I don't know what im doing wrong. I have the SR2 updates as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Adrian

Photopium ( ) posted Tue, 10 January 2006 at 12:13 PM

Full Expression dials are empty, they are for you to define. In the Read me are complete instructions on how to set them up. If you have dialed up an expression that you like, you can spawn a morph target on the head and name it "ExpFull1" (case sensitive). You then reapply the PoseMagic pz2 and "ExpFull1" will control your custom expression. You can rename the dials to something you enjoy. -WTB

Circumvent ( ) posted Tue, 10 January 2006 at 12:18 PM

William Ohhhhh ok I thought they were something you had pre-loaded. I'm such a dork. Thanks. Well then it seems to be working. I'll let you know if I have any more problems but I think it's fine. Thanks again. Adrian
