Subject: Newbie question about prop blur

Smallworld ( ) posted Sun, 01 January 2006 at 7:17 PM ยท edited Fri, 08 November 2024 at 9:35 AM

Hello guys, I have a basic understanding of Vue from a previous version, and an using using Vue5 now. I have been using Bryce for a lot of my rendering so far, making my models in Rhino. I was wondering if there is a nice way simulating propeller blur in renders of aircraft? Bryce does this very easily and I have found the standard motion blur technique (from the tut here) to be not ideal. Thanks, Smallworld.

You could render a small animation (2 or 3 frames) of the propeller rotating and then just use one of the three images you rendered.

Or use volumetric metablobs.
