For anyone here using Xfrog, DAZ 3D now has the version 2 plant libraries on sale for $104 (about 60UKP). That's a fair bit cheaper than Greenworks or Maxon (both selling at $149). I've been wanting the prehistoric plant library for a while - so I'm going to take advantage of this now! Note - sale ends Jan 19th.

I saw that and I agree its a great deal for anyone wanting good quality plants at a cheap price. It figures out to $1.75 per plant in US funds. Where else can you buy plants that cheap that have the quality of xfrog. :) I am curious how long the plants mayb be at this price. :) I think by lowering the price they will sell lots more plants than if left at a higher price. Since so many Vue users are hobbiest this will let them buy at a cheaper price. :)

I certainly hope you're right because there are a couple of other libraries I would like, but I can't afford to buy them all before the 19th :-(

personly I think it was a smart move on Greenworks part to lower the prices within reach of all Users A thread I started shows about half or little more who use Vue are hobbiest. I am one of those and can not afford to pay those high prices just for some nice plans. :) I bought xfrog lite to get a package deal couple years back which included the basic Librarie. I have sonce been adding to my collection. :)

Just got myself the USA Southwest library! Even better for us, Euro spenders!

It seems to me they had a sale last year also - can't remember when, but I kicked myself for not taking advantage of it then. I bought a couple tonite (it's my birthday, so I can justify it).

Is this a downloadable version, or will it be shipped? I never bought something from Daz, that was not downloadable. What about shipping costs to Europe and taxes?

I bought the same software when it was for sale here at Renderosity and it was shipped on CD. I would think it would be the same from Daz. When I bought my xfrog plants they were on cd but now they have added lots more to the packages and they are on DVD. Not sure what all has been added but I am sure it will benifit lots of users. Greenworks the makers of Xfrog are in europe so might be good idea to send them an email from their site and you might be able to get same price from UK. Just guess and I could be wrong. Google greenworks and you will find their home page. :)

It is shipped by Fedex. The price at DAZ includes tax, and shipping is not included. I'm in France, and was charged in US$, which is a good thing, gonna be cheaper in ! If I remember correctly, shipping is around 16$. May take longer to get my Usa Southwest collection from DAZ ( US)than from Greenworks (Germany), but I'm saving lots.
