Hi, all. I've been adapting a wait and see attitude about the changes in the store. I was lucky enough to empty out my shopping cart on my birthday (by buying it out) a couple days ago, so I only lost a couple items I'd added subsequently in the change-over. I didn't have a chance to install any of it until yesterday, when I noticed several products gave me errors when trying to unzip (all of the JMM products, in fact). It took me some time guessing and clicking around to find where to get links to re-download. Finally got the last of them today. Newer D/Ls unzipped okay. I see some functionality being re-integrated into the new system. This is good, and I know more is being worked on. I've read some of the rant threads regarding the changes, and my personal feeling is that I don't like the changes, but this is mainly due to lack of familiarity with the newer more complex navigation. Once I know how to get where I need to, I'm sure it'll be fine. I did like the older system, and felt quite familiar and comfortable with it, but change is inevitable in life, and not in itself bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Couple requests, as long as the new format is still being tweaked; I'd like to see the option of viewing pages with the quick-link column on the right of the page instead of the left. I like to print out pages of products I buy and keep them on hand in a file cabinet. With the links on the left, that forces the product info off the page to the right when printing (I do the same with enlightening forum threads, too). I'd like to have a "date of last update" column on updated products. In the 700-plus products in my purchase history, quite a few have been updated more than once. I've downloaded a few more than once from not knowing if the update shown is the latest one I've gotten or a newer one. Seems a waste of bandwidth. More prominent link-buttons to purchase history, cart, and wishlists would be helpful. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall I don't see all that much to gripe about, other than change is unsettling, and the new interface has a steeper learning curve than I'd have expected or desired. Ultimately I'm sure most problems will be resolved, hopefully sooner rather than later. I know from past experience that you lot have some rather talented people who tend to put a high priority on addressing customer complaints to mutual satisfaction (won't name names, but every specific problem I've ever had has resulted in quick attention and some resolution - usually completely satisfactory when it's directly within the RMP staff's control). . . . Just some random observations from someone NOT totally and completely outraged by the inconvenience of the new. Cheers! Jerry Brawner leather-guy
