Yesterday, it was so beautiful outside that we went for a walk in the woods on the other side of our backyard and I took pictures. I have made them available on my website for you all to enjoy as background images. Please respect my wishes regarding the use of those images. They are written at the top of each of the background images pages on my website.

This time, I offer 212 original pictures and I took 24 out of them and applied special effects so you have a series of 236 images to choose from.

Here is a small preview image of 2 original and 2 enhanced photos:

Those snowy woods images are on background images pages 16 to 20. Follow the link.

Enjoy!

First, thank you for your generosity. I am going after them next. But......LOL, you took those yesterday???? Here is the twisted irony. Those snowy woods are so beautiful, they hurt. I miss winter in the northeast, or nothern Europe, or wherever you live. I have not seen it in 20 years. Where I live we are having a rash of such beautiful nearly-summer weather, everything is green and blooming, and the gardners are mowing like crazy. I had the air-conditioner on in my car, briefly, this afternoon. Pasadena, California. And the twisted? I'd rather be where you are! ::::: Opera :::::

I'm glad you like the photos. Yes, I took them yesterday. Saturday we received about 10-12 inches of snow and yesterday it was sunny. As I have those woods just past my backyard, it was easy to go there and take a walk (although we stopped so many times - I took 238 pictures). The funny thing is, I have lived in this same apartment for 11 years and it is the first time I went there to take a walk. There are trails for 4wheels and skidoos and I could walk right up to a lake. I don't because I can't walk that far but just to tell you the way it is setup. I live in Quec, near Ottawa capital of Canada. I was born here and will die here too. I love it here and wouldn't move for anything. I like the fact that we have 4 distinctive seasons even if there are some things I don't like in each of them. I guess there are more things that I like in each of them. ;o) If you'd like it, choose your favorite photo out of the new photos I uploaded this morning and I'll send you the original photo 1656x1242... You could print it and make a poster out of it. France

Thank you, they are very lovely. They made me feel cold, but then where I live in Australia, no snow, hot summer now, but I would really love to put some footprints in the snow under some of these trees lol Jan

Has anyone tried IBL with the winter pictures, (or with any photographic background)? I get the general gist of the idea, but I haven't been able to pull off IBL with a photo yet. Just curious. bB

Opera, it's on its way. ;o) BastBlack: After seeing Acadia's results with IBL yesterday, I intend to learn how to use that too. But I think you'd get better results if you applied the photo to a plane of some sort instead of using it as a background image.
