Here is a texture makers group. I was given the link here when I was asking about making my own textures. I've joined but haven't tried texturing yet due to various life interuptions.

At the risk of incurring wrath... :) I am looking for a really good tutorial on creating distressed textures in Photoshop, chipped paint, patches of rust, dirt&grime etc. Found some lousy tutorials and found some animated tutorials I can't get open. Anyone of leads to absolutely superb tutorials ;)

You should look into getting Super Blade Pro.

Thanks... still I am interested in what makes such a texture look the way it does. I'll go check that link :) I owned it long ago but lost it in a disc crash :( I don't see buying again if it is still what I paid last time. Also lost my KPT GEL :(

You can contact the company and get a new download link. They should have your name on file.

Try the tutorials here:

http://www.onona3d.com/tutorials.htm

They arent exactly about making nicks or scratches, but they have a lot of good info about texturing in general that you can use to create whatever kind of texture you need.
