Subject: Problems importing DV AVIs as backrounds inot Pro Pac

I posted this on the regular Poser forum but got no response so am trying here. I have been attempting to import DV AVI files into the Poser Pro Pack as backround AVIs. Even with my doc window set at 720 by 480, Poser asks me if i want to resize the doc window to match the footage. When i do that, suddenly the doc window shrinks to a 20 pixel square on the screen! When i import the same file but as a non DV, it seems to work fine. Is this a problem with the non-square pixel ratio (.9) that the DV format uses? Or the 29.97 frame rate (which Poser doesn't offer)? It is rather frustrating since DV is so useful and rapidly gaining popularity. I am using a PII dual 400 with 384 Megs of RAM and Win 2K SP1. Thanks

Poser might not support the DV format. I think this is one of those questions you'll have to ask CuriousLabs directly. I have a video capture card that can create mjpeg (not mpeg) avi's. But Poser won't use it either. ScottA
