I love it! especially the lighting :-D what was the glitch you ran into? If I have time i'll put together a few high-res building facades on an overcast day, so they would be "omni-lit," and ideal for textures. I could also cut out the elements and put them up as .png's with transparency, so you could composite them into your own building facades.
The glitch was in his third step, there is a box called "presets" and it says "last used" well his last used and my last used are nowhere near the same and I don't know how to even tell what the last used preset in mine is. So I don't know how to make it match. None of my preset options allowed my result to look even remotedly close to what was showing up in his step. Yes Max, bless you, that lighting rig is awesome. I may never try to light my own scenes again. Which is a bad thing, but since lighting was never high on my priority list of things to monkey with, I enjoy using zenith. BTW Max are you in NYC right now? Enjoying the snow? or are you back in CA?
The glitch seems to be that PainShop Pros built-in filters seem to differ from version to version. As a result of this Ive gone back to test versions of PhotoShop 6 and 7.01 and they consistently give exactly the same results every time as expected. Why this should not be true between versions of PaintShop Pro 7 and 8 is beyond me and puts a damper on my continuing to experiment with a Paintshop Pro workaround for my PhotoShop building heightmap tutorial. You should consistently get the same results when the filters are the same and set to exactly the same settings even between differing versions of the same software unless the filters code have been tampered with. The presets option should have nothing to do with the new settings you input. New settings should supercede the preset option since that is there to hold your last used preset and to allow users to save and load their own handy settings. Inputting new settings should render the presets option null and void. Max, I would be interested in those facade textures if you get around to them if you dont mind.

I called Quest to tease him about the two feet of snow they got in NYC and he was working on trying to get his city to work using PSP. We ran into a glitch, but I was still able to get this using Paint shop Pro. I used MadMax's zenith for lighting and Quest's building texture of course. I'm really tired, way past my bedtime, but I thought I'd post the quick and dirty WIP. *Ang Hugs Quest!*
