Josie's expression says it all - she is having a bad hair day...

What would be causing the hair to render like this? I tried turning texture filtering off but that didn't help.

Oh - I'm in Poser 6 Edited to add:- Not to mention what that expression does to her eyebrows! :)

Some sort of specular problem, I think. got it set to a light color and it's washing out the texture. That's my guess. -WTB

Is that the updated Paradise Hair, right? I have the same problems with it. :-( If i render it in P6 with the P4 engine and mark "Ignore Shader" the hair works. I am not happy at the moment with it but i havent got the time for looking deeper.

If by my life or death I can protect you, I will!

That is the updated Paradise - may have to send a message off to 3Dream about this then....

Well WTB - Close but no cigar - at least you put me on the right track - Thanks - I changed the ambient to black rather than grey and got a clean render.

Wonder how that slipped by testing?

I have the updated version of Paradise Hair in Poser 6 and I dont have problems. Are there more than one Poser 6 version?

thefixer ( ) posted Tue, 14 February 2006 at 10:57 AM

The problem here is quite simple, The updated hair defaults to "no shadow". You need to use the MAT pose supplied to "add shadow", it's called something like that, it's in the MAT files.

I know the feeling - I'll close off my bit in this thread by saying I was most impressed by the promptness in which 3Dream responded to my queries.

I had the same problem woth 3Dream's Grace Lion Hair Textures. For now, I deleted the "new" Paradise hair and reinstalled the old one. If it ain't broke...

thefixer ( ) posted Wed, 15 February 2006 at 2:16 AM

jt411, there isn't a problem with the new paradise hair, you just have to apply the "shadows on" MAT pose!
