Now, I'm most probably walking on old ground here but i just found out a little trick in the DTE (Deep Terrain Editor). When you click the 'M' to go into the DTE, once there and you see all the information regarding the DTE, Shift click (Mouse click) the texture library (Top right pointing arrow from the main edit drop down list) and instead of getting the drop down list in text you get the whole textures pictures in view like you would selecting it from the texture library in Edit.

Just an update, it will NOT work with the 2D face vertical & 2D picture (Leo) but will work with the 2D disk. Marc (Always learning!)

Yup, I use this all the time when experimenting with new textures. Thing is, you don't even have to click the bead. Just clicking on the material name (next to the bead) while holding down Shift will also bring up the Texture Library. You can also use those textures as terrains. Check out the thread link.

No I am sorry it is always good to learn things about the DTE. Why just last week I found the remote control, a couple of pens, $1.78 in change and a lot of lint in there.

marcfx ( ) posted Thu, 16 February 2006 at 7:17 PM

Was the lint blueish at all cos thats outa my belly button! :)

ROFLMAO! If it's gray then it came out of mine. 0_o

Vile ( ) posted Thu, 16 February 2006 at 11:48 PM

I think there should be a scientific study on why belly buttons collect lint. If it is an evolutionary throw back to our hunter/gathering ancestors collecting material in which to make clothing or a future adaptation of intelligent belly hair seeking ways to combat global warming by making our clothes thinner? These are the things that keep me awake at night...

ROFLMAO! Imagine this is what the future holds for us...shaving our belly buttons! Ahhhh...that's progress!

Where does the fluff come from? It's 'cos of the BBFF (Belly Button Fluff Fairy), who sneaks in while you're sleeping and deposits the stuff there so she doesn't have to pay local garbage-collection taxes... Or, check out the above link..:-)) (Ain't the web wonderful?) Cheers, Diolma

ROFLMAO! Oh this is precious: "I've been collecting my navel fluff consistently for around 20 years and have seldom missed a day's harvest." What would we do without the web? :D

marcfx ( ) posted Fri, 17 February 2006 at 6:51 PM

LOL. You can surf all day and still get the fluff forming.....its gotta be some fairy one sort or other!! :) Even wearing a white tee-shirt produces a bluish tint.....its the medication I'm sure!! Marc (Going for another look!!) LOL

Some people just have way too much time on their hands... Good hijack, Vile! Any chance that you found keys to a '68 Mustang in there? I thought that they might be in the sofa, but never thought to check the DTE...

@Vile "I am not Vile! I am not an artist! I am a perfectionist! I am too technical! I am not my Past! I am not my Bryce! I am not a Master! One final thought! And I Say Evolve!" INTO BELLY BUTTON FLUFF!! :)
