Don't suppose you've got a hand next to the body render to show what you mean? BTW, I know the figure is nice, thus my very specific questions. :)

Miki has modeled but static genitals. There is free a morph to make them posable. Apparently. :D

By the way: her torso is extremely bent forward in this, which explains the strange deformation of her breasts. That, and the rather revealing point of view are the reasons I never posted this to my gallery.

-- I'm not mad at you, just Westphalian.
Adding a few lines : Miki is not a DAZ but a Curious Labs/E-Frontier figure. Who are in "that" part of the body in general more anatomically correct than Daz people. If you want to make your DAZ figures more anatomically correct you need Arduino's !G morph (one for almost every female Daz figure). You'll find most of his products at 3DPMR.
I doubt it is possible to get the level of detail in a Daz figure that I'm seeing above. This looks like built in geometry. That said, I also agree that the 'posing' on the inner portion is unusual. It is definately what you would only see in a 'ready to go' or 'just got off the train' state of emotion... :) (I'm -trying- here to avoid a TOS issue and still get my point across... :) ).
That said, if there is a morph out there to 'close the gap', then an investment in Miki by me would probably be quickly followed by finding that morph.
I've seen the picture in post 6 before, of the four figures. The first is very Japanese in 'ethnotype', and the second two are definately 'manga' and not 'manwa'. Somewhere I think I also saw her side by side with the 'NBA-viking goddess' otherwise known as v3. :)
I've not yet found a face-shot of Miki morphed into a Chinese or Korean look, and I'm wondering if it is anymore possible than it is/isn't when starting with v3's face.
Consider:

Or: http://images.google.com/images?q=Chinese+actress&hl=en
Maybe the difference isn't that obvious to many here, but to Asians and peple in 'Asian heavy regions' like San Francisco - it is like the difference between an Irish and an Iranian face. :)
One more for comparrison:
http://images.google.com/images?q=Japanese+actress&hl=en
I've long desired a good asian model, for capturing different asian ethnotypes - something vital to any image I might render that is supposed to seem as if it was a scene in my hometown (San Francisco). I've seen some good work done with Miki's face, but I've yet to stumble on one I could look at and say 'that's Asian all right, but not Japanese.'
(which of course, begs the further question of south-east Asians like Thai and Filipino - both quite different from each other and from the above).

"Miki is not a DAZ but a Curious Labs/E-Frontier figure. Who are in "that" part of the body in general more anatomically correct than Daz people."
While that isn't a high priority reason for upgrading to p6, the face room and possibly even the ability to use figures like miki does seem to compell... but it's outside my budget right now even if I want to get it... (I've been hoping the Miki sale would last long enough for me to scrounge money together for both...)
Of course, if I can't find a way to get p6, I've also been wondering how many of the Miki morphs are in pmd format and thus not usable to me on p5... Message edited on: 02/19/2006 20:36

Now I realize why the image in #6 was posted... That's the 'hands' post I asked for. :) Yeah, those are huge hands. Every Asian woman I've known and know has had/has very small and delicate shaped hands. Not saying that is universal to women from Asia, but I suspect it is common. It is also common to women from anywhere. I once read, in the novel 'When Gravity Fails' of all places, that you could always tell a sex-change from a 'real woman' by the hands - because even 250 years in the future where that novel took place, they hadn't figured out how to break every bone in the hands, remove a lot of the mass, and then reset them without the loss of those hands... (that was a very good but very strange Cyberpunk novel about a male prostitute in the middle east, by the way - and from what little I know, I suspect the comment is medically sound). Unmorphed, those hands make Miki and Jesse look like post-op sexchangers (can't remember the proper term for that). It probably needs the hands and fingers scaled to somewhere between 70-90%...

About the nether regions: "out of the box" Miki is somewhat better than the DAZ females, but nowhere near P5 Judy or the props by Arduino and InsomniaWorks. P6 Jessi does not have anything remotely resembling realistic genitals. Arduino's morph pack helps a little.

I never noticed Judy had anything down there... If I wasn't away from my PC, I'd be loading up Poser right now. If this is true, I need to start tracking down some morphs for Judy, now that I have Wardrobe Wizard for fitting outfits all of my figures have essentially the same amount of clothes, and my only reason for using v3 is my morphs for her...

Judy has switchable hip geometry, just like Dork, Michael 1/2, James, Jessi. Choose Figure->Genitalia to toggle between the genitals/non-genitals version. This toggle is scene-wide, which is a bit of a pain. For nude figures I want the genitals on, for clothed male figures I want them off. A scene with both nude and clothed figures requires the genitalia to be set ON, and setting the unwanted genital body parts to invisible by hand.

I thought you worked mostly in Vue. I work in Vue, and in Poser I almost never load in more than one figure at a time. I always did all the composition in Vue. I'll check out this aspect of Judy. I think I'm also going to be seeing if there are some miki's out there that don't have man-hands.

If you take a closer look at the lower part of her hips, there are so many polys, 2276 vetices for the hip and if you compare it with the 948 of the Unimeshes, you can imagine how detailed her private part is modelled.

This thread: http://www.contentparadise.com/forums/contentparadise/index.php?showtopic=266 Got me wondering. I don't have Miki at present, and in thinking of whether or not I should get the figure there is a somewhat 'shy' but needed question to ask over this. namely, is she anatomically accurate? Daz's female models have been... to put it the only way I know how, female-eunichs. This can make any nude render look very strange from even 'casual non-explicit' camera angles. They seem to only prefer 'equipment' on the males. The thread above seemed to imply that while Miki was not -e-femulated- she had been set to a default 'hardcore porn' morph... I've been unable to find any renders that could answer this for me, so I'm wondering if anyone with the figure could tell me and supply some sort of 'proof'. A second question comes with Poser 5 compatability. Without the face room data, how much utility of the figure is lost? Are there injection morphs out there that would work in Poser 5? Or would I be better off just avoiding the figure for now. A third question is over morphability. She has a very Japanese face, and I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get her too look Chinese or Korean?
