V3 RR has fewer polygons, and it comes with the Head, Body and Male morph sets pre-installed (like V1 and 2). It uses regualr V3 textures and clothing, but is a lot less taxing on resources. On the negative side, you are stuck with the morphs it cames with, you can't add custom morphs, so when you use a character set, you can only use the textures, not the character morphs. (if the character set involves stock morphs, you can set those by hand).

V3RR has only 25,041 vertices and 24,406 facets compared with V3 with 72,712 vertices and 74,510 facets. Uuuups, crosspost

My V3RR came with a nipple group/material but the nipples were not raised. I had to use a magnet to correct this. I have the morph somewhere around. You can use nearly all V3 characters if you make a copy of the character morph injection pose, open it in a text editor, remove the "get" lines at the top of the file, and save. This spins the the V3RR dials and results in a near match to what you would get with the V3 character injection on the standard V3. I rarely see V3 characters made from original magentec or sculpting, they are nearly always constructed of dial settings for the standard morphs. The way you can tell in Marketplace copy is that characters morphs constructed from scratch will say "V3 Head Morphs not required" or "only free V3 character is needed"... I believe. These "from scratch" V3 morphs would not work on your V3RR. You can make custom morphs and move them around with MorphManager (free) but I have not seen custom morphs for V3RR around though there is a Japanese site called PoserGirls or something like that which had very nice V2RR and Steph1RR characters, maybe they have V3RR characters. I wonder if there is an easy way to make a character with V3RR and create an injection pose from that to put on a standard V3. I guess the hard way would be to save the MOR pose and then insert get lines for all the dialed up channels. A python script would be cool. I am not at my Poser computer right now, Jules, do you know how big the V3RR .cr2 is compared to the V3 .cr2 with all the morphs loaded? I say get the V3RR, it is easier to work with than V3 and I can't distinguish any real difference even with portrait renders at 1500x1500 pixels... but that is just me. I got my V3RR with M3RR and all the Millennium Animales and Dragon LE and the wedge and updo hair and some fantasy clothes, and a woodland setting with geometry for $29.99 in the Content Starter Package at DAZ. Can't beat that :)

Vicky3 RR is a good choice for second plane characters, looks nice and doesn't make the CPU scream. In many cases you can use her as principal chraracter. For making custom injection morphs is the same as for Vicky3, Aiko, you can use any empty channel PMCC_xx. (Of course this new morphs will work only with V3RR).

Hi momodot,
I tried to delete the "get" lines but all I could find was "readscript" lines in the character pz2
Am I looking in the right place?

Hi, my mistake... I did mean the "readscript" lines I think... I am not at my "Poser" machine. They are the block right at the top that tells Poser which deltas to load, this group of lines is above the lines that give the dial settings. It does work. Sorry.
