Subject: What is the best way to learn and understand Poser 6 on Mac OSX

My name is Ron. I'am from Holland. I'am new to 3D. Bought Poser 6, Shade and Vue. Bought the book Poser 6 unreaveled aswell. The book covers all the possiblities of the interface, but does not make you understand or give you the feel for the working of f.i. the Material Room. Isn't there anything like Classroom in a Book from Adobe Photoshop with a CD for Poser 6 for Mac?

There is not much of a difference between Poser 6 Mac and Poser 6 PC. One notable exception: many Python scripts won't work, since the Tkinter Python library hasn't been ported to Mac OSX. If you want to learn Poser, do a search for "geep." Dr. Geep has literally thousands of tutorials on just about everything that's Poser. A word of warning: say goodbye to your social life. Poser is EXTREMELY addictive. Welcome to the club! Greetz from another Dutchman, Steven.

Ron, don't forget to work through the exercises in the Poser 6 Tutorial Manual. It's a PDF located in the Curious Labs/Poser 6/Tutorials folder. Good luck!

Dr. Geep should be coming out with all of his tutorials on a Cd pretty soon - I'm thiking within the next week or so. That will make it real convenient for us having them all together. Keep your eyes and ears open for it.

Before they made me they broke the mold!
