I don't use transposer because I don't use poser, but I know this has come up before, so someone else can comment further, but usually that kind of message is some confusions with the runtime or where the file says textures are. Carrara has to read the info from somewhere. I think this issue comes up for poser w/ users when they have more than one version of poser and it misleads carrara, as to where textures are. If this happened w/ an obj file it is usually the textures are not w/ the obj file or the paths were relative to the original location. There are some poser users here that can probably help w/ this. When I have used native mode w/ D|S I haven't seen this. Did you examine your pz3 to see what paths it states in the file? This forum at renderosity lacks good features, searching isn't too robust for archives.

I noticed about the search. I managed to get the program to find the files now. It only took a full reinstall of C5 and the 5.0.5 patch; however now it is up to it's old memory allocation error, whenever I try to do a render. Eegads, I have 2GB of DDR400 in this puppy and a huge amount of free disk space. Carrara can be sooooo frustrating at times. Hopefully if I shut off all the indirect lighting and turn off refractions etc, I can at least get a test render done.
Firstly, try reducing your render size, for your test rendering, to say 500 by 500 pixels or less. And, most importantly, don't tick anything in the render Global Illumination. If you need to check out lighting effect do the necessary settings in the Test Render settings--the arrow in the circle. Hope thats of some help.

I have tried a simple 1024x768 100DPI Test render and it also bogs out. I am wondering if putting in three imported Poser characters is doing it. It is a pretty complex scene, the great hall of a Mage's guild. A lot o high res textures for walls and such, plus some very detailed candle chandeliers with a lot of small lighting sources for the individual candles. Maybe I need to go to 4GB RAM lol :) I'll keep trying. I really want to use indirect lighting to get the right effect from the light sources. I am probably going to have to remove a few of them to get this thing to render. I hate memory allocation errors...
I've had as many as 11 poser figures in high rez 1.8gb of texture mapping ran like a charm in 4.11 but needed more ram ... still ran with 10.3 G4 mac ... since 10.4 everything locks up .... major Mac issue I'm seeing here .... it's that crossplatforming garbage again thinking of reverting to OS X4.3 except Idvd doesnt work there.. no backwards compat any more dudez

Hi folks I was wondering if anyone else is running into this problem. I have created several characters in P6 that I want to import into C5. When I try to import however (using transposer or the native importer), C5 continuallyu asks me where to find some of the graphics files for the character skins. In this case vbrows.jpg for Vivian for V3. I point it to the exact directory, but it just keeps asking where the file is. Also I dont have the option of a JPG file in the selection box, just tif. Is there a problem with an extension or something? Any help appreciated. Rich
