Subject: Version Compatibility Question

Bryce 5 OBP's won't load into Bryce 4. Will Daz's 5.5 files load into Corel's Bryce 5? If I buy a product made for B5, can I be sure it will work for me?

Forward compatability should always work...so something for 5 will work in 5.5. I am suprised something isn't opening in 4 though. I'll have to try it.

Claymor, when byce 5.5 opens bryce 5 files that's called backwards compatibility ;) Forward compatibility is rare as a newer version almost always includes new things in your file format.

The file format hasn't changed between 5 and 5.5, so there shouldn't be a problem loading 5.5 files into 5.

Cool. I didn't think DAZ had made any major changes, but I wasn't sure. Thanks:)
