Thanks to Dann-O for the cloud texture advice, and to Drac for the bump map (and other advice). I'm fairly happy with the look now, although I'm thinking of posting out the outer wisps of cloud. Any thoughts on that? About 2 minutes for the terrain to render, and over an hour for the cloud.

Anyone else see the shape in the cloud? (I was playing with smudge, and this appeared all by itself).

volume materials can be a killer. The pic there looks like Donny Osmond being devoured by Cuthulu while reading the times but that is just me. Or it could be just a sailboat being crewed by dyslexic cats. I think I have had a bit too much jasmine tea.

Nice texture on the dry riverbed. I definately like the cloud wispy. :)

It's an angel with wings carying a long trumpet - obviously a Herald. (Has rather a hooky chin) Lol Gorgeous bumpmap and texture. I'd leave the whispy extra bits, make it look more realistic that I think it would without the whisps.
