Subject: How do I convert an uncompressed 32 bit AVI to 24 bit?

How do I delete an uncompressed AVI's alpha channel? I'm importing a 32 bit uncompressed AVI into Lumiere Video editing program. In order to get it to work, I need to delete the alpha channel, which would push it down to 24 bits. I tried to do this in Premiere and the output was a black screen with audio. If I try to import the full 32 bit AVI into Lumiere, it looks like a color photo negetive. Any ideas?

you can render the clip in adobe after effects without the alpha channel as only with rgb with alpha premultiplied with black.
