TAA off. Rendered at slightly smaller size. I noticed very little change in the quality moving to no TAA. There's a bit of artifacting in the video, but that's due to the WMV conversion...I cant put up a larger vid for bandwidth reasons. Message edited on: 03/27/2006 10:48

I did this animation for a trade show we were having. It's the 1st run to see how much an effect turning off TAA (per the animation guru Phoul's request) has on overall appearance and overall speed of the animation and render. In this version, OAA/TAA are both on. I rendered the original at 800x600...thusly, the next version will also be 800x600 and I'll turn OFF TAA. This video is a little large for most online purposes, but I really want to see the effect it has on brickwork/gravel and other detailed textures. Video Encoded at 3500bps WMV. Some artifacts are due to this conversion, but it should be minimal at this rate. I have bandwidth to worry about. :) CC welcome. http://www.vuerealism.com/renderchallenge02/oaa_and_taa.wmv (5 MB) ---------------------------------------------- Lighting: Standard User settings OAA (6,24) = 80% TAA (4,20) = 90% Adv Efx Qual: 50% Wind Disabled Breeze enabled (40% intensity) Ignore Indirect Lighting on Plants Unchecked TGA Sequence 25fps = 250 frames = 14 hrs (10.3 minutes per frame) 3 Computers Rendering
