Thank you :) I think you managed to describe how I see art. When I look at an image I don't see the whole image initially. I see "elements" of it...lots of elements. It's only after my eyes have finished taking in each element that the image comes together as a whole. For example, in a victorian scene of a Queen knighting someone, my eyes see a lady, her hair style, her face, the style of her dress, it's colour and the way it drapes, the pose, a chair, steps, the material they're made from etc. It's only after I've examined each of those elements that I am able to finally see the whole thing as a complete image. Basically I read images like a read a book...word by word.

Very good read. I've been using the 'rule of thirds' for most of my stuff. I am glad that you've put out such a tutorial to the public. I hope more people would read your tutorial and expection for meaningfull compositions/artwork out there. JV
