Subject: The same face...over

I keep finding myself making essentially the same face over and over..variations on a theme, ie, high cheekbones, slightly slanted eyes, etc. Does this happen to any of you? My project for today is to make something totally different. Not sure how it will go... Mystmaiden

When I was teaching drawing and portraiture and I had the students drawing the model or each other I could always tell who had done which drawing... each portrait always looked more or less like the person who had made it :)

If gender is no issue, look up "Marty Feldman." He had quite an unusual look to him. I did it to provide you with a link and I came across this page which is very cool (Marty's picture is down the page). Study it for a while and then see what you can come up with. I'm not kidding. Do it. Do it. Do it. NOW!

Right. You'll be glad you did. Even if you're at work or your children are in the room. ;-)

Or you can do it once but with 3 times the intensity and passion.

I see that laughter but I hope it's not getting in the way of you getting today's project done. I expect to see it posted here by midnight. And it better be something different. [grin]

I've had the same experience as momodot watching others do drawing and portraiture. I never have the same face appear over and over by accident because all my characters are based on specific real people. I have been known to use certain favorite ones several times deliberately, exploring their many possibilities. Last week I was fiddling with FaceGen and was thinking Vincent Price real hard. If I do that, he is not about to look like Boris Karloff by mistake. If you specifically want Jessica Alba, and think about her real hard (no dirty jokes please) she is not going to accidently look like Jennifer Lopez. Oops! Bad example. -She is not going to accidently look like Nicole Kidman!
