Subject: Groundtexture Problem

This is question is really embarrassing, but someone might help me with this anyhow... I use to do my final images in Bryce. This time I want to do some test renders in Poser before exporting the whole stuff. I want my figure positioned on a woodden floor (e.g. like a stage). I applied a wood texture onto the GROUND, but that didn't work. How can I get this fixed? Another question... In the preview mode my figures cast shadows on the floor. If I do a test render these shadows are gone and the figures look like they are floating. I already marked the option "Casting shadows", but this doesn't help. Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance!

You need to make the ground plane visible. Do this by going to the Display/Guides and choose ground plane. That should do the trick. It took me FOREVER to notice that myself... my figures were always floating too... sigh :)

Instead of using the Poser ground, put in a square prop and set and resize it for the floor. For some reason the Poser ground doesn't work the way we want it to all the time.
