Welcome into this forum. I like when I see people getting into photography. I do it as a hobby and have a riot meeting others out where I shoot and talking to them about it. Lot's of benefits of it.Just as there is in here. Anytime you feel like it, just cut the file size down to under 200kb and bring it in the forum for discussion. This one you did I would say needs a bit of a look. The reed of grass in center distracts me as does the angle of the chain link fence.Your camera obviously does close ups pretty good, so maybe setting up the dandelion a bit better would have made a more interesting shot. Those things do make some nice photography with the right DOF. Keep the shooting going and bring em on.

Welcome back to photography and great perspective on this shot. I do have to agree with Doug though that the center stalk bisecting the image is a bit distracting. Still is is good to take a break from Bryce and try your hand at the real world. Looking forward to more from ya!
