Subject: All stars are yellow, even on viewed threads after refresh

:b_confused: I see several comments that seem to indicate that the stars are working for some, but all stars are yellow and stay yellow for me. Regardless if I've viewed some or all of the posts, even if I refresh the page, exit and reboot, then visit the page again, etc. Is there some setting or sequence I need to adjust or change to get the stars to indicate viewed threads? Not sure if it's something on my end, or just some tweak by the site coders that hasn't reached the head of the que yet? Thanks.

Go into a forum, mark all topics read..then go to the front page of the forums here...mark all read.....then hit refresh. Try that :)

That is a workaround though, not a solution. The stars SHOULD change colour without you having to mark the whole forum as "read" It's hard to tell if there have been new posts WHILE you're reading it, you can Mark All Read, but if yo're not done reading them all, then what? As it is, where new replies doesn't bump the thread to the top, it's a nightmare to keep track :m_think:

It's been reported and is being worked on.

I'm glad to hear that. the ONLY two problems I have with this new format are the ones brought up in this specific thread, that: 1. the stars stay yellow until using the 'mark as read' links (they should change to grey after the thread is read!) and 2. the threads with new posts don't move to the top (even in a low traffic forum, this is an issue especially when combined w/ the #1 problem of the stars staying yellow). the fonts are OK size for me (odd, since I'm on a Mac, and ususally Mac folk have problems with tiny fonts from sites designed to work on Windows). I don't mind the colors at all (it'd be fun to change them, but that's a very low priority for me!) I like having avatars. I like having smilies. I'm hoping that speed increases will show up after a "settling in" period (with the new format being so new, everyone is poking at it all at once, and web spiders/bots are crawling all over picking up the changes). I'm hoping that searchability will improve, I'm hoping that older archived threads will also be converted and added. these two issues of "yellow stars" and "not bumping threads to the top" are my most important ones!
