Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Oct 05 5:47 am)
If you want to mirror a pose, you can do it using "Figure/Symmetry". I don't know why your figure would disappear when you apply a pose though. I'm just learning how to save my own poses too. I was told however to not save morphs...did you maybe save morphs with the poses?

say." - Ghandi
Thanks for the response. It's not a full pose, just a hand pose, saved in the "Hands" library. I posed the right hand as I wanted and did indeed use the symmetry tool to have the left side be the same, however this doesn't help when I save the hand to the library. Also when you save hands there's no option to include morphs or not, I assume that morphs are ignored and the only things stored are the settings for twist, bend, side to side - I should look at the file that's created and figure it out for myself. I'll give that a try later on.

So I made myself a default relaxed hand pose. I save it to the hand library, selectng the right hand as the one to save. When I apply the hand setting to the right hand again, everything is fine. However when I apply the hand setting to the left hand, my figure disappears, it says loading perpetually on the bottom of the library pallet, and I can't do anything in the scene anymore. I either have to exit Poser or start a new file - the current one is unusable. Firstly, I can understand why the hand pose may not apply between hands - although all the other hand settings in the hand library can be applied to either hand. Did I do something wrong when I saved the hand stetting to the hand library - or is this a problem with the program? Secondly I'm pretty sure the difficulty I encountered with the scene becomming unusable is a program error - at worst I should get a mangled left hand, but I should still be able to work with the scene. Anyone got any insights into this problem? Poser 6 SP2, PC, 2.1G amd proc, 1.5 G memory. thanks, Unzipped
