Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 05 11:51 pm)
I did briefly look at the Digimation page for Gesture Max. As best I could tell, though, it appears that it moves the whole model into Max without saying anything about motion files. Do you know if it transfers your key frames? If not, will a gesture-max transferred model accept a Poser BVH motion file?
Thanks for your help. I really hope you (or someone else) can give me a followup on this.

Reiss BodyStudio can host a Poser .pz3 file within the 3dsmax environment, allowing you to import fully animated Poser scenes, including Poser 5/6 cloth and hair, into 3dsmax almost seamlessly.
Downfall is that it's simply "hosting" the animation/scene. So any further adjustments you need to make on the animation itself must be done in Poser, then re-opened in 3dsmax. Makes no use of 3dsmax's powerful animation tools on your characters unfortunately.
Tools : 3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender
v2.74
System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB
GPU.

I'm looking for the easiest solution to move a Poser animation into Studio Max. I assume that this will require exporting the Poser motion as a BVH file. Obviously, the format of that file is different than the CharacterStudio Biped in Max. It appears to me that this means I will have to laboriously edit the Biovision file to match the Biped parts. I'm wondering if someone has set up a template character in Max that will accept the Poser BVH file (so I can then save the motion as a CSM or Biped motion file). OR is there some other way that I'm not aware of (maybe a plug-in?)
Thanks!
