Once one has posted a reply to a thread, and seen it posted and checked that it came out OK, usually the next thing one wants to do is to return to the forum. However, the browser window is now pointing at the bottom of the thread, and the link back to the forum is at the top of the thread. It would make life easier if the line of links that appears just above the thread content were repeated at the foot of the thread.

right below your avitar is a back to top link.

That [Back To Top] option is pretty pointless.

You should replace it with the [Top Of Forum] functionality.

I'm guessing that's what Phantast is meaning, as such a feature 'does' need implementing ASAP.

Exactly. I can't see any particular need to go to the top of the thread again except to get back to the forum - so why take two clicks to do what can be done with one?

It looks as though something has been done to make the situation worse than before.

I find now that after posting to a thread, the browser window focuses on the top of the thread instead of the bottom. This means scrolling DOWN to check the post is OK, and then back UP to exit the thread.

All that's needed is to copy the navigation links to the bottom of the thread.

We haven't changed anything in the forums in over a week. Don't know why it's doing that for you but it still jumps down to the bottom of a thread for me.
