Subject: What's up with HTML URL links?

kuroyume0161 ( ) posted Tue, 25 April 2006 at 8:09 PM · edited Sun, 04 August 2024 at 4:15 AM

For some reason, whenever I enter something like this:

text

it appears like this:

text

And the link button (up there to the right) doesn't work - fix it or remove it.  See:

(nothing - three attempts)

So, the only alternative is "Link Name & URL" below which is great if I have only one link.  But sometimes I have more than one.

P.S.: That doesn't work either... ;P

You have to use the HTML editor to enter links. If you don't want to or know how to use the "link" button, simply click on the "source" button and enter your HTML directly and that will work just fine.

It's not that I don't know how to use the Link button, but it doesn't work for me. I know HTML so what does it want?  I leave the Link Type at URL and Protocol at http:// and enter the URL.  The "http://" is automatically (and always) stripped.  I say "OK" and nothing happens.  Must you select text for it to work - then you should specify this (as every other forum with that "Link" button does).

My Site

There you go.  So, something for you guys to do on your end:

  1. When there is no selected text, notify that text must be selecte

or

  1. Add a box for entering the link text in the popup

Thanks,
