Johannes Rosenberg -cajomi- releases GeoControl

Essen, Germany - April 22 2006 - Johannes Rosenberg -cajomi-, 3D Landscape Artist and software developer releases today the terrain generator GeoControl. This software introduces totally new concepts for generation and manipulation of heightfields. The extreme fast, easy to use and robust generator will open up a new perspective to the future of 3D landscapes for stills, animations and games.

In general GeoControl is a full featured 32bit terrain generator, with export options to nearly every render software on the market. 2D and 3D raytraced preview, different high realistic erosion types, layer based terrain combining and a brush for manipulations.

New in comparison to other generators is the basic concept:

A really easy to use GUI, with a huge collection of presets combined with the innovative Dynamic Level Generation (DLG), which enables GeoControl to generate much faster highly detailed terrains. It offers the user the highest thinkable control over the generation process, enables a revolutionary new brush  which is the base for totally new generation algorithms.

DLG allows not only control over all generation parameters, but also over all single steps of the subdivision process. The integrated brush manipulates not only the final terrain, but can change the terrain in the beginning of the subdivision. In fact, the brush creates new terrains, based on the existing ones and integrates these terrains into the landscape.

The DLG is also the key for the new algorithms, which are much more intuitive and generate all basic landforms from smooth hills to rugged mountains or terraced terrains.

By adding over 200 filter presets and over 80 landscape presets from artists, GeoControl is suitable for the landscape beginners, for professionals with less time and for landscape specialists, with a high demand on control and flexibility.

GeoControl is priced at 59 _ (ca. 76 $) and for the first month at 49 _ (ca 63 $) and in the beginning only available for PC. (A Mac version is planned.) It will be delivered via download and email. A fully function enabled demo version, limited to 31 days and without the artists presets, is offered for download.

Born in 1958 in Germany and still living there, -cajomi- is a well known landscape artist. This software is born through the demands on creating landscapes for high quality cinema productions, where the landscape is not only painted but also completely integrated into the 3D environment.
