Well my latest over a week in the making and I am saying probably at least 50 hours of work. (OK I have no life) Soem elements I brought in from old renders to compleate the scene. A star trader in port. (Teh mermaid on the side has a bit of extra flesh exposed) I hand drew the mermaid and the fish on the side of the trader and then colored in photoshop and painter.

Ah, a fantasy sort of C-130 style jet!!!  (That'll get you high!) I'd say you could lose some of the green BG on the jet to let the mermaid stand out better.   It's good to see you're paying attention to detail too! the baggage etc. and the scene background  complete the picture so the model doesn't just stand on it's own merit. Very Very nice!

Yeah that is what prompted the dark outline around her. Modeling wise the beasts of burden were just as much work as the craft. The two humanoids were from previous renders so I used them to fill out the scene. Soem of my older renders are posters in the background. Originally the craft was bright orange and yellow:^(

I really like it Dann-O! Obviously a lot of work went into this.

I like this as well, sort of illustrative.

Could imagine it as doing well as a book cover...not sure which book though!
