Subject: Aiko 3 JCM question

Letterworks ( ) posted Mon, 15 May 2006 at 2:07 PM · edited Sat, 20 July 2024 at 11:46 PM

I've just noticed that the JCM(l or r) KneeBend on Aiko 3 doesn't work when the leg is bent at the knee. I was wondering if this was a problem particular to my Poser set up or a general thing.

It appears that the JCM should  operate when the shin is bend back (knee bend), but it doesn't. The morphs operate manually (I.E. turn the dial and they function) but they don't operate by joint control.

If anyone else can test this and let me know if it's just my setup or if others experience the same thing, please let me know.

Thanks for your help

Looking at the CR2, I see DAZ has set the  deltaAddDelta  to 0.000125, which means (if my caculations are correct) at a 80 degree bend the morph only reaches 1%, so it is more-or-less disabled.  As the morph runs "backward" it should be -0.0 whatever, too

I gather they didn't want it to work or they made an mistake.  ;-)

Try setting the setting it to about -.006 and see if you like the effect better.  Make sure you do the thigh, too.  Of course it is going to cause poke through on clothing when you change that...

Thanks Jim,

The thing is I already have the clothing made and as I was setting it up I noticed the JCM and included it. but then, when I was testing the JCMs I noticed that this one didn't appear to be working, either in the clothing, or, when I checked, In Aiko. I thought that I'd possibly done something to disable it! I wanted to check and see what others noticed.

All things concidered I'll leave this in the factory state, but I've copied down your improved settings for the future.

Thanks for the confirmation

mike
