Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 15 11:01 am)
Last year I got an email from the owner of Eclipse Studios asking me if I had joined their email list, and they explained why they were asking me.
It seems that they had hired someone last year to do some work on their site, and in addition to whatever work they were hired to do, they also added hundreds of unsolicited email addresses to their mailing list data base.
I explained that I had never been to their site and had not joined their mailing list, and didn't know how their hired help had gotten my email address. Anyway, he removed my email address, and explained that he was going down the list of "members" to see if they had actually joined on their own or were added by the person who did the work on their site.
The owners of the site are really nice. Email him and explain to him what is going on and he will remove you from the list. It isn't his fault that you are getting mailings from them. Seems whoever they hired did a real number on them.

I just got one today, but I know how they got my email. I needed to register to download some free BVH files from their site.
I believe one the merchants here is affiliated with them and it's possible they have the list of his customers from the RMP.
I only get email from them every few months, so it's no big to me.

I found that email on their site.

Quote - Getting tired of it. Would still like to know how they got my email addy. They have no way to stop it on the mail they sent me.
'cause clicking reply and asking them not to send you another email would have to be defined as 'no way of stopping it'.
Of course I can understand your frustration; I too hate getting my email box bombarded with that singular email from them that just jams the thing up once each month or so. Gods it really pisses me off, it just makes me want to vent on a forum about all the effin spam!!!! OMFG That could be tweleve or so emails a year! WILL IT NEVER STOP?!!!
I got an email from them today as well. But like nimrod I actually signed up to download their free BHV's. It's not a big matter to me - as a matter of fact it made me want to buy some of their new things. I regard it like Daz' newsletter, or the one from Rosity. Nothing more, nothing else.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

On top of that, they don't even know the real name of Daz Studio. They call it Daz.![](http://market.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/art/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)
