Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
I'm a PC tech and unfortunately, those nice light laptops don't usually have a dedicated graphics card which you will need for games and Poser. I also have a heavy Inspiron with no real battery life. There is a new laptop out called Quisomodo or something but it looked big and heavy, too. Good luck.

I will soon be moving. I am highly considering a new laptop. I currently have a Dell Inspiron 8600 that I upgraded to 1.5 gigs of memory. I was browsing the Dell pages and I am a little confused now by some of the specs. When I purchased this Dell, I had it custom made to handle my graphics programs, specifically Poser. But my laptop is now about 3 years old. It usually sits on a tray table where I can mess on the computer and watch TV. A recent storm knocked out the power in my home for a week and I had to lug the laptop in and out of a hotel and I found out how heavy this thing is. So, please, those who understand the current technology, could you give me suggestions on what to look for. I want a powerful laptop that will last me another 3 years.
