Subject: Attack of the James Casuals!

pzrite ( ) posted Thu, 01 June 2006 at 7:02 PM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 11:47 PM

I don't know if this is a bug that I'm just experiencing (I did a search and couldn't find anything), but it seems sometimes when I load new figures into Poser 6, the body name will still show as "James Casual", even if its actually Victoria or Michael!.   Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for this?

Thanks,

Lee

If you REPLACE James Casual, or the character in your scene, the new figure takes on the name of the figure it replaced. If you DELETE James Casual first, and then add another character, the name comes through correctly.

Ah, thank you.  Delete first, then add figure.  Got it!

That is an older poser bug which just proves that the newer versions are the old code with new stuff bolted on.

One of the MANY quirks that poser 6 has that annoys the crap out of almost all users.  Me included! 👎

I should probably start this question under a new topic, but I guess it's sort of related to the problem.... Is there any way to tell exactly what .obj file you are using for your figure? Sometimes I got so many figures going I can't remember if it's James, Michael or whoever, then trying to cloth them is a hit or miss kind of thing. Because I know for certain they are NOT all James Casuals as I am often led to believe! I seem to remember the obj file being listed somewhere, but I just can't remember or find it.
