I just got PS7...I made a mistake and I think I set it in Greyscale permenantly! I cannot find where to turn the grey scale off. I have never used PS, but am quite good at PSP, and altho there are simularities, I am lost. I have had some success tho! I have made several Brushes from my fractals! I just seem to be having a bit harder time getting the preferences set up correctly. I am not familiar with the terms and settings offered. I appreciate any and all help! ThanX!

When opeing a new document , change the Color Mode from Grayscale to RGB before clicking OK.

You can also change it on the toolbar at the top.  Images/Mode/RGBcolor.

Yes, you can do it that way but then it's only for that document. When changed in the New document window it will remain RGB until you change it.

Try going into Edit / Color Settings.  There are some options in the Color Management Policies...see if RGB is on or off...and the gray turned on... I'm not sure if this is the way to fix it, but it's worth a shot...

LOL! Guess what? I forgot to open a window and I was going nutz trying to make the tools open! ThanX to everyone for their help!!! I am going to probably ask a few stupid questions here...duh! LOL! OK, I got it fixed. I hope that I start to understand this program soon! Cause i need to sleep sometime.... :P
