I'm working on challange entry.  I obtained Brazze's P47 model.  unzipped it, imported .obj to bryce, without textures (flat grey), applied some materials, saved it and merged it into my sky scene.  Here is the unmerged airplane as saved in bryce.

Here is the merged picture.  Why is plane rendering blue?  I change diffuse, ambience, spec and all that but it doesn't chnge.  I have two volume spot lights in the scene but the plane is not in their path.  The plane is outside any of the volume sheres for the clouds also.  Any help???

In desperation I rematted the plane within the merged scene to the attached flat black and every setting either turned down of off.  I don't know what I am missing.

A side bar question.  The plane came with textures but I don't know how to apply them in bryce or Daz studio.  ??

I've always made my own simple models in Bryce.

I figured it out.  I have no earthly idea why, but turning atmosphere off in sky lab effects it.  Now mats show normal.

I still like input on applying the models default textures though.  Any help?

I'll not delete this thread because it may help someone else sometime.

You have to watch the amount of atmosphere blue-ing in any large area image. I always cut it back to 2 or 3 % max.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Just apply the textures to the plane, and usually if you go with the default "Parametric" wrapping the uvmaps should work correctly, and they will show up on the plane where they are supposed to.
