If your email reader is set to read html, clicking the link works just fine. However, a lot of people (me included) set our email programs to only read plain text...it's just a lot safer that way. If the coding could be fixed so that the link is displayed normally in plain text format (or give us the option of plain text ebots), the problem would go away. It's simply a matter of very bad HTML coding skills, either by a real person or the software.
The old ebot system coded the emails correctly so that reading them in plain text provided the correct link and there was no problem.
I get mine using Gmail and it is text email and looks like this... This is a notification that one of your favorite artists, jinet, has uploaded an image titled "Marquenterre C". Click here to view the image or here to browse the galleries. You can edit your options here. ------------ A forum one looks like this... This is a notification that marzo has replied to the thread "IMPORTANT! EVERYONE MUST READ......" in the Community Center forum. Click here to view this message or here to visit the forum. You can edit your options here. You can also unsubscribe from this thread directly by clicking here. ------------- Each " here " is a link. My profile setting is for HTML but Gmail turns it into text emails that are like I posted and they work.
