If you have a standard 3DS model P5 should be able to import it. Here's how I would go about geeting the model in: Unzip the package to it's own named folder, IE machinegun,. Move the textures to Runtime:textures. Open P5 and use the file Import 3D option. You may have to manually set the textures. After the model is setup save it to the Props Library. At this time if you want to cleanup your texture, find it, create a folder of your choosing and place it there. Then edit the pp2 texmap reference to point to it. Do this once and you can use the prop directly from P5. Sounds like a lot of work but really isn't.
I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
Poseray can convert the object to wavefront, to import it easier into poser.

I am looking at buying a 3D model created in Lightwave 3D and then converted to 3DS.
The question that I have, will it import okay into Poser 5? I've never done this before (importing a model into P5). According to P5 documentation, it says that it will do it, but before I lay out the significant purchase price, I thought I'd seek the advice of the PROS here. I asked the artist that created the model, and he doesn't have any experience with P5.
Will P5 convert the model okay for use in P5?
Also, It comes complete with very high resolution image maps. The image maps will need to be reapplied to the model once imported into P5....Is this a big deal?
Thanks in advance for any light that can be shed !!!
